Overview
Cape Point lies within the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park, around 60 km south of the city. It's a wild, wind-shaped landscape of cliffs, beaches and low fynbos.
Visitors walk or ride the funicular up to the lighthouse viewpoints, and many explore the reserve's quieter trails and beaches. Wildlife such as ostriches, antelope and baboons may be seen in the reserve.
