Table Mountain is Cape Town's defining landmark, and walking up it is the most rewarding way to meet it. This guided hike follows Platteklip Gorge, the most direct route up the city-facing cliffs — a steady, stepped climb through fynbos with the City Bowl opening up beneath you.
On top, your guide leads a loop across the summit plateau, pointing out endemic plants, the views over Robben Island and the Twelve Apostles, and the best places to pause. The descent is on foot by default. If you'd prefer to ride down, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is a separate attraction with its own tickets and operating schedule — it is not included in this experience.
Indicative timings — a real operator would confirm the plan for your date.
